considering TSPCALC Seasonal Strategy to maximize IFund
Hi All, Putting this out there for feedback… During my decades-long career, I have always favored the US indexes over the I Fund. Now I wonder… Some are projecting during the next decade emerging markets and I Fund to outperform what may soon become overvalued US large and small cap indexes. Given t...

A quick glance seems to indicate that the Fed is buying it all. The Fed owns the S&P?

Re: Thank you, TSPKing
Hi. Would the admin folks kindly contact TSPKing to make sure he is aware that Mjedlin66 is interested in acquiring TSPcenter and of all the interest in keeping it going? Mjedline66's e-mail address is admin@tspcalc.com. Please forgive the redundancy of my note, but I have really come to rely on TSP...

Re: Everyone is Locking in their Losses
Hi Scorpio70, Can you clarify-- are you referring to the Dow here? RE: "In 2009 it was 6600. I think it might be between 10,000 to 12,000 this time, or a little lower. "
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: Fed LTC insurance vs. the New WAEPA disability option?
Hi Bloobs, I looked into the high expense of long term care insurance and decided, with the help of this site and TSPCalc.com, it seems more practical to self fund long term heath care instead of buying insurance. Keeping spending down early in retirement and using the seasonal strategies (like your...

This is the advice I received: 3 months before 65th Birthday, enroll in Medicare. At www.socialsecurity.gov/medicareonly. Enroll in Part A & Part B. Part A is free. See article on internet by Edward Zurndorfer on this issue. This, combined with your health insurance, will cover ALL doctor expens...

Thanks...Good advice from Tomanyiron! He neglected to add himself to his list of leaders to watch. Tomanyiron posted toward the top of the leader board in downturn year of 2018.

Umberto's remarks apply to me also. I'm 56, retiring in 2021. As of a few months ago, I mostly follow the leaders, but especially those few who handled well the downturns of 2018.

Advice on best long-term health care providers?
Hi All, Years back, I was told at my mid-career retirement planning, that 54 or 55 years old was a good time to purchase long term health care coverage. I'm 54 now, so I guess it is time to start researching. I heard it's important to choose carefully to make sure the provider has reasonable premium...
