I think I would have chosen embarrassing rather than humorous. Blatant corruption with a complicit regulatory body....pretty ugly.
Good for Jon Stewart for digging in though, not many folks out there willing to challenge "banks".

Re: The Great Inflation Lie
Lets hope you guys are right about inflation settling out, because a 2.7% COLA this year is about half of what CPI demonstrates we should be getting.

Re: Government Shutdown?
Instead of wasting time waxing philosophical on this upcoming October cluster, I choose to plan for my family's next 1 (or 2) week paid holiday....yayyyyy! However as part of my risk management plan, i plan to buy more silver bullion when the spot price drops under $20/oz. Where do you normally buy...

Congrats on some solid numbers!! How did you come to such a high number on your FERS + supplement estimate? I thought it was like 25% of your high 3 or something like that?

@ bloobs, so another 10%-ish down. Oof. I could see it based on long term channels and just how steep our channel has been recently @ Houston, he never said it was. SP500 or SPY numbers are just so common, most people can mentally reference them without looking it up. Also, it's the C fund mirror.

Advice Request -transfer 401k from a private company
I'm sure this has been asked, but I need advice. My brother just accepted his first fed job with the USAF and has a decent chunk in a 401k from his previous job. What should he do with it? Can it come into the TSP? Could it go to something like Vanguard without tax implications? Thanks in advance! I...

Re: TSP Challenge Competition for 2020
I might be under simplifying things, but I figured the best way to gauge the winner/loser for the ENTIRE year of 2020 would be their Fantasy YTD; right? Everyone picks their strategy, it gets marked down and on JAN01 of 2021 we see who the winner is - hopefully no one cheats which we could tell in ...
