TSP VSIP / Lump Sum contribution
I am being offered Voluntary Separation Incentive. I had planned to retire and also would receive a lump sum payout for my Annual Leave. Does anyone have experience or guidance on protecting these from the taxman? Can I direct my retirement officer to put these in the TSP? The other alternative I se...

2,3,4. 2 terms for president, 3 for senate, 4 for house. After that run for another office, go home and ruin their home state or get a real job.

Re: Should The Fed Be Clamping Down On The Right To Bear Arm
"Regulated" should be what the militia is. Free is what he citizen is. The current "State knows best" attitude should be curtailed at the ballot box. The blood of tyrants is brought on be courts that disregard law. The government pursue felons and protect the insane and let the c...

Re: What's Your Political Persuasion?
I would describe myself as conservative, but it's been years (1970's) since a dem was worth considering so I up with a Republican ticket because I refuse to yield the field with a throw away vote. I always caucus and vote the primaries to select better people.

Re: DOD Furlough Stand Down?
My bad attitude? This is just a ruse to fund favorite programs, pretend they tried, and make the DoD civilian bear the largest brunt of petulant Presidental greed for glory plus Congressional refusal to shoulder responsibility. Watch the number of pet projects amdended into the bill for a measure of...

Re: Use-Or-Lose Leave to TSP option (Status?)
First, any benefit transfer like this would probably be used as an opportunity to diminish our leave benefit overall to produce a net saving to govt hungry for funds. Second, the social engineering of leave balances to needy individuals on a voluntary basis might be tinkered to a more enforced level...

Re: Suggestion for TSP--allow us to pay for 3rd IFT
Jab - you know someone who has the FOIA for TSP selection posted?
Chief - good idea, if they have done the cost study on the expense of 24, which a bunch of finance guys must have, and they decided they can afford us, then we deserve to (like all good children) spend our entire allowance.

Re: Poll real or fake Fantasy Tsp account?
I don't mind flagging my intent but buyer beware. I'm not consistent in remembering to adjust fantasy and also my payroll deposit is not reflected. Seems of little value. I suppose mine should simply flagged and someone NOT to watch.

Unintended ... the majority of Americans will have to look to the government
I don't believe this was unintended. Obama desires more citizen dependency on govt.
