Re: This time 8 years ago....
Hey Rob007, You are correct, I don't follow the seasonal on my fantasy, I tend to only use that account to illustrate what a high risk fund would do with the original $100,000. True I could use any calculator or the features on this site, but I tend to enjoy being lazy or making changes without any ...

This time 8 years ago....
I was stationed at Ft. Lewis (Still called just Lewis then) and I was telling our BDE S2 how I wasnt satisfied with TSP and its gains. As my mentor, he quickly pointed out "Have you heard of tspcenter and this seasonal calculator? Its ******* great!" I quickly responded with "no, what...

Seasonal Strategy? / March-2012
With the fear of markets "crashing" or taking a huge dip due to recent gains, who's following the seasonal strategy into the C fund in March? and why?

Re: tsp in a tax free zone
Mark, I was in the same situation as you, in a combat zone and maxed out my ROTH IRA for the year and was wondering if TSP was the best place to put my money while in a tax free environment. The answer for me, and more than likely for you, is yes. Any money invested into TSP while in a combat zone i...

Re: Dividen paying stocks VS Non dividen paying stocks
Crondanet, I did some research and I did take your advice, I bought 221 shares in VGR. I saw the answer as "obvious" too. My first post I wanted to know if "Anyone had advice or experience in dividend paying stocks". My next question was based off two current stock investments, B...

Dividen paying stocks VS Non dividen paying stocks
If the goal is to make money, whats the benefit of investing in a dividen paying stock over a stock we know will grow?
Just sell the amount of shares you gained VS the monthy dividen a stock will provide you. Taxes? Penalties?

Re: Dividend Paying Stocks
crondanet5 ,
I didnt buy any AAR, I was close to pulling the trigger though.
planetibet,
I looked into INTC and it looks extremely attractive.
I was thinking ATVI or INTC or AXP. AXP is looking like a good leader with all the debit card hatred going on right now. Curious to hear your thoughts.

Dividend Paying Stocks
Anyone have advice or experience in dividend paying stocks like;
REIT: AAR
Or
GAS: NKA?
My currently dilemma is investing 70,000 for postive monthly cash flow without buying and renting a home. Any thoughts or advice would be great.
Thanks!

Re: TNA and TZA
Flight,
Reading your posts, you are currently invested in TZA, because you and many other people predict a drop in the market?

TNA and TZA
Another novice question, but I know im not alone.
To understand TNA is this, the Russell 2000 Index goes up, I make 300% return on my investment. Same as if it goes down, I lose 300% of my investment.
TZA, the Russell 2000 Index goes down, I gain 300% of my investment.
All correct?
Thanks!

Re: TSP Vs USAA Roth
Ha, no. I decided rolling over my TSP to my ROTH was a bad idea.
Just wondering if anyone else ever wondered about rolling over their TSP into a ROTH and why they did or didnt.
