TSP Center Upgrade On Saturday 9/18

Post by TSPking »

If I don't announce it, I'll keep delaying it.

For the past couple months, I've been rewriting a majority of the backend that runs TSP Center and FantasyTSP. There have been some issues cropping up as the community has grown including performance (specifically the Leader Board), intermittent authentication problems, and security issues due to dated supporting software versions.

I also have some ideas for future features that the current codebase can not support. So a modernization and reorganization is in order.

The site will be down for a short time on Saturday. If all goes well, it will come back up and you will notice subtle differences.

Don't expect too much. Its really backend changes to support future features so most of what is changing you won't notice...with the exception of hopefully better performance and some changes to the forum.

Can you fix

Post by crondanet5 »

the link to the Googlefinance S Fund chart so it will show more than 5 days of history? The F, the C, and the I have full range capability but for some glitch the S does not. It would certainly help if you could.

Suggestion number 2

Can you adjust the box used to type a reply or post from collapsing on you the further you use that space to type a complete post or reply? It frustrates long, well developed, complete responses like your 7th grade teacher demanded.

I thought I fixed this problem a few weeks ago. Are you still seeing the problem where your cursor jumps to the top of the text area when typing long posts?

and the S Fund Chart's non response to requests for information greater than 5 days is also frustrating. BTW: They are not "long" posts, they are complete posts that fully present my position. :D
