Did not know that either, thanks fordest. I'm immediately thinking about doing a daily IFT, one of these months, doing just that to stress test the system with both my Fantasy and real account.

Somebody more knowledgeable will have to chime in. It has to do with re-balancing. I don't know if you have to have some non-whole number percent or what.... But do it. And report back to us... But maybe do it after you have used two real moves. I would hate for you to transfer .17% and have it count as a move. Then you will hate me...

Hahahahaha, I was thinking the same thing - I will only do it after my first two moves.

Fantastic. That’s not how I had thought it worked but I’m extremely glad to know now. Rep points awarded. And well deserved for more than just this post. thanks for all you do Aitrus.

PS. Funny that the link goes to another thread related to another missed update. Lol.

I don't think I understand what this exactly means. Is the bottom line here that with this "rebalancing" your talking about adjusts a specific fund by only fractions of 1 percent?
(if that's the case I wont worry too much about trying to figure out more about it)

Thanks.

Pretty much yes. It's useful if you are out of moves and want to try to get a tiny bit back into a non-G fund. But seeing as how most of us move 100% at a time, it's not an option in that case.

Thank you fordest. I tried today on TSP.gov and couldn't do it. I guess because im 100% in G already and all out of moves. I will attempt again next month but it doesn't seem like it will make much difference either way. Thanks again!!

Just remember that it'll cost you a move if you haven 't already done two. So make your last move only like 95% then you can try it.

It works! Just made a transfer on the real tsp. Had 99.92% in G, 0.04% in C, and 0.04% in S. Submitted my 4th interfund to 98% G, 1%C, and 1%S. It was accepted for processing at the end of 9/27. Pretty cool! Thanks fordest and atrius.

Since i'm all out of moves except for the G this month, I made an IFT from 80 %G, 10% C and 10%S to 80% G, 11%C and 9% S. It worked on TSP.gov but unable to adjust it on this website. I get an error message that I already made my 2 IFT's for the month. Just wanted to throw that out there in case anyone was wondering if it worked on here.

Umberto if that was your 4th IFT, that contradicts TSP.govs IFT rules. Your IFT takes from G, not the MUST go to G limit.
