Hiya!
Hi Everybody! I'm a newish to TSP, 3 yrs in, and very new to the sight/active management, about 2 weeks looking around the public parts. I'd like to do better than 2-3% and especially to figure out how to avoid the bigger dips, like Brexit... I'm naturally a conservative investor and would be quite happy to make 5-6% consistantly.
Re: Hiya!
Welcome elvira,
For seasonal investing, Aitrus' thread on Seasonal Musing is a great resource & good place to start...it is quite lengthy but he explains the different seasonal strategies on the first couple of pages and updates everybody on a monthly basis for the ones he tracks. viewtopic.php?f=14&t=12089

Re: Hiya!
I agree that Aitrus's thread is a great read. I would also say that if 5-6% is your goal and you would be fine with just getting that, the F Fund is your best bet. It averages 7% over the years. That would require no intertransfers, except the initial one. I believe after you see Aitrus's thread you will see the possibility of getting upwards of 15% and may rethink your conservative nature. If not, I would say the F Fund will make you happy without being overly nervous about things lke BREXIT, which the F Fund didn't get affected by.
