Just found this site from a coworker and looking to jump in. Lifecycle funds not doing as well as I had hoped.

Yeah, I am not sold on lifecycle funds. They try to set you up so you have all your exposure upfront in youth, and less risk in the later years. The problem I see is that markets are cyclical, and what happens if stocks are sold in a down cycle to keep to an arbitrary timeline? Personally, I see a lot of value in the seasonal plan. I tend to follow the troughs though.

Lifecycle funds are also too conservative for somebody early in their career, IMHO. However, it's better than leaving money in G or not investing at all.
