Saw a good spike of like $84.00+ after the first weekend I had my fantasy account up and running. And then lo-and-behold, the next 3 days takes me down $1,400ish. haha

Oh well, might as well keep it in the S-fund for a bounce back soon to pick up my loss.

Looking at these gains from my $100K+ Fantasy TSP and liking the days where I can jump almost $1,000 in 24 hours. I wish that would kick in fast with my real TSP account, haha but seeing as I'm just starting off in my TSP, I know it will take some time!

30 years to go, I got time to get there.

Well I like the fact that after I thought 2014 was going to be a slow start in the G-fund, since going S-fund early February, I've already passed my 2013 %-age. It may not be fair to compare since I've only had a TSP account since November, but my 3.79% so far in 2014 slightly exceeds my 2013 total of 3.27% in 2 months.

This of course is just Fantasy percentages, but I usually am only a day or 2 off of my real account IFT's from this site. Let's hope the #'s stay in the green!

Hmmm...should update since a lot has gone on since February.

End of February I was sitting at 9% because of the S-Fund's success that month. I went back and forth between the S and G in March and April and let's just say, I went to -3% at one point. Not good. Still hovering around the -1% but that's because a little time in the C and F have dug me a little bit out of that hole.

Riding F right now in the start of the Summer, but also see that S-Fund has been booming pretty big lately. Still gonna try to play it safe with how high the S has been lately.

I see you jumped into S at the beginning of July. I bought in also with 50%. I was greedy and got in too early. I payed a little too much attention to my watchlist and thought I was missing out on something big. Well, I expect small caps is nearing the bottom of the dip now and will come back up beginning tomorrow. I need it and it looks like you do also.

Did a little mis-timing on the S-fund in July and now find myself in a small little hole for 2014 so far. Funny for being up almost 9% end of February. Guess I shoulda did opposite my instincts.

Went 100% F-Fund for my last day move in July. Still with 2 IFT's available in August if need be. Looking to creep my way back into the green a little at a time in this horrible month of August historically.

Have had a pretty crumby year, I should start going with my 2nd instincts I think.

Half a month in and some small gain in the F-Fund at .49%. Moving to the S-Fund for a bit to get some gain back. Maybe for a little bit...maybe for a while? Who knows...

I know September's a very good month, posibly the best for the F-fund, so I'm all in now. I was going to wait until after the holiday weekend, but I have to admit, the "Sig factor" got the best of me today. I figured if something hinted at him to make the jump before, I might as well follow his lead instead of my rookie thinking.

F-Fund for September for me. Glad I was able to gain about 2.5% (before today's gains) in just half a month.

I take that back, it looks like I'll soak up the Labor Day gains OR losses since it was after a noon submission on the TSP site. Here's to hoping my late entry PAYS off!

Hopped into the G-fund as an Emergency exit before the I-fund took anymore hits. Picked up a very small gain over the weekend, and transitioned to G right in time to beat the .93% or such lost today.

I'll take a day or 2 to figure out which way I wanna go in October since I'm out of IFT's for September now.

Gonna go from G to C now that the first dreadful week of October is out of the way.

Interesting to see the top 2 yearly gainers so far went in opposite directions today with wingchaser going to C and DavidTiger going to the G Fund.

Maui whatever the outcome of our moves today, we are “in good company”. 70% of the top 10 YTD are in C or S. (can’t count kcmusa and MakeMe$$$$ because of that L-2050 glitch).
100% of the top 10 on the 360-Day Leaders, 80% of the Top Watch Count Leaders, and 80% of the top Account Balance members are in also. I’m also going to call some names that should be of interest:
Sig 100% C, Sep 25 IFT
Thriftier 100% S, Sep 10 IFT
chief04010 100% S, Jul 30 IFT
wingchaser 100% C IFT today
The list is longer, but you get my point.

Note: I used none of the above info for my IFT today, and I just now looked it up. But I would be lying if I did not say it was reassuring with this “Fearful Friday” move.

We never know for sure what Monday will bring, or the next week or so. The cliché could change to “Misery Loves Company”. And/or most of the people mentioned above could make a hasty exit early next week.

I leave with the following paraphrase which comes from an interview with Jeffrey Saut of Raymond James. When asked about the Fed driven market, Mr. Saut replied:

"The markets don't care about the absolutes of good or bad. All the equity markets care about is whether things are getting better or worse? And things are getting better."

Seeing a lot of people with higher account balances and percentages YTD than me move to F or G funds. So I'm following their lead and joining the safe-haven.

100% F-fund IFT submitted today for COB Monday.
