Seasonal & Charting question

Post by LoGiK »

Two questions:

1. Why does the seasonal calculator stop at 2012 and not run through 2014?

2. How can I chart? More specifically; I'd like to be able to enter inputs like the seasonal page, but then be able to see how each year's return is broken down by the months in that year.

Any help would be great!!
No clue what I'm doing, but willing to learn.

Two Answers:

1. Nobody knows. There have been many requests for King to update it, but to no avail. Our only guess is that it's on the "To Do" list.

2. Excel is a wonderful thing. If you have some scenarios you'd like to have results for, I can do a quick run on my program. I can give you the breakdowns you're looking for. If you want your own charts / excel spreadsheets, I can send you what I have and you can run wild with it, provided you know Excel well enough to see what the formulas are doing.

So would it be safe to assume that since this has not been updated in years, along with Kings Fantasy account, we most likely won't see an update on these items ever again? Is it possible to contact King and ask that he turn the updates over to someone else that is interested? I know why King started this but without updates it is a little bit silly for any of us to keep going with it.

That is a great point. I was seriously looking at BBBInvest, but when I went to the site, under the tabs it said "2013 Goals," so I'm scratching my head on how up to TSPCenter is or that one as a professional advisor. The percentage for BBB looks great (13.25%), but what does that represent, a percentage since sometime in 2013 or for 2013 or 2014 or none of the above. Oh, and I do not belong to any particular site trying to bad mouth anyone's business, but I am looking for professional advice. I see many on here offering it, but their self-described wisdom or trading acumen does not seem to match their actual percentage rate success, and I am not singling out any particular person. We all have stuff to learn, me much more than many when it comes to investing. If anyone has had success with a professional TSP advisor, please send it my way. Thanks, all.

This isn't an endorsement by me or by TSPCenter. That said, I have several co-workers that follow MLKMAN (or did) and haven't complained too loudly (lately at least). :)

LOL That's great to know. I am hoping I missed a link on their site, as I would like to see their prior results and, if well received, join. I just can't find that darn link.
