Well, it will be Macron vs. Le Pen. European markets are up significantly today (anywhere from 2-4%) with US futures pointing to at least a 1% higher opening. Should be a good day for the I-Fund. Glad I stayed in, but happy to have seen everyone's thoughts on the subject over the last few days.

I'm considering taking today's profits from the I fund and going to C and/or S in anticipation of a jump in either after Wednesday's announcement regarding tax-cuts.

Thoughts???

Maybe a 50/50 split?

We may get a jump on the tax cut announcement. I'm still kind of hesitant about the potential for a government shutdown. Trump may dig his heels in if he is serious about the wall funding or congress may pass a 90-day stopgap.

I am hoping for a break even for the month in the I fund, I jumped ship today to the G fund, still have another IFT left to possibly move into the C fund later this week for the May seasonal. Was it a good move or not we will see over the next 6 days left in the month. Had to get off the roller coaster I was getting dizzy.

When this topic was first posted (last Thursday), I contemplated moving out of the I fund before the weekend. But I'm sure glad I didn't do it then! TALK ABOUT A NICE MOVE UP TODAY!

I did bail out today though.... Figured I'd take the $$$ and run....

But now (only an hour later) I'm thinking this run up may be like the Trump election... We could see a few more days of this.....

You could be right about the run up, but sometimes taking the money and running is not a bad thing. Tomorrow when it is up again we will kick ourselves and if it is down we will say what a great move we made. Can't satisfy the investor unless all things are going up HA HA.

Couldn't have said it better myself Nova! The funny thing is that although the EFA might close up 2.5+%...That doesn't necessarily mean the I fund will close up that much. There have been too many times I've been sitting back watching nice little .5% gains in the EFA just to look at my TSP account the next day and it turn out to only be a .14% gain...(I might be exaggerated a bit there) but you get my drift!

I wish there was a better more accurate fund for tracking the I fund...after this month I think I will forego using the I fund again...it's just too volatile.

Cheers to you all!

Happy investing!
Cheers!

Ok...so the EFA closed up 2.57% as of 4:00pm EST.

We should have a poll to guess what the I fund will gain...

My guess would be 1.98%...

Those who left early are regretting it after today.
