Why S Fund next few days?

Post by Tomanyiron »

Some of the top seasonal strategies call for an S transfer. And we’re having a lot of pending allocations to that effect. What in history justifies that, do you think? Something to do with dividends, taxes, anyone got any ideas?

That is such a great question.

My best guess is that volume slowed down around fed minute release. So, after digesting economic data, there will be an uptick in volume as people get back on track considering there were no major surprises.

For me I am getting back in line with the Daily Strategy in my signature. Also "clapper" goes "S" next month.

The Daily Strat was correct for going to "F" fund this week (which I didn't do) and lost the least of the funds...not counting "G".

Next guess up...
I am just an average Joe. I have no clue to what the market will do.

Strong season for S but the XLF is ominous, which is the major component of S. In my opinion only a strengthening dollar can save S.

This weeks days averaged over 14 years (read from the bottom up):

This is starting to feel like the S fund move we made in January. So far this year (following the strategy) Buying high and selling low! Not a good recipe.

S fund up 1.25% today ladies and gentlemen! Squeezed out a .22% gain for the week. Better than the F and G.

Ended up never moving this week from the S fund to the F fund and then back to S fund today like 20241 told me to. I'm glad I didn't because I would've just sold low and bought high.

I made that mistake even if I didn't lose on one day.

I'm following the same and am skipping all the F moves except for November and December. I'm banking on the interest rates being baked in by then. If not I'll just move to G instead.

S Fund has been lagging behind the C Fund. Any prediction on when it will break out?

Small caps have traditionally lagged behind large caps when recovering from a correction, but since that is relying on "past performance" just ignore it; that's backward thinking and nothing in the past ever repeats itself.
