Matt,
I have found your TSPcal to be tremendously helpful and I benefited by over 22% last year as a result. I was a procrastinator and only joined recently, yet have followed since its creation. I have come to acquire a much better and perhaps comprehensive understanding of how the markets work. What I see much more clearly now is that while we scrutinize the past performance of the markets we also need to look at the companies themselves which we are investing in as they are currently swinging thereby effecting a given fund.
Keep up the great work and we appreciate your dedication. Well worth the $20- !!

I'm waiting until the year ends to really take a look at the seasonal builder and seasonal calculator. I think the seasonal calculator is an interesting tool that helps inform how the market *should* work. I also think Matt has worked huge hours and deserves some kind of compensation for putting all this info together. Right now I am thinking I will use tsp calc as another "reference piece" but not "the piece" in my investment strategies. I really hope TSP Center does not go away. The info here has a lot of value too.

19.99 a year is cheap as they come. A lot of stock services charge 19.99 or more per month. I have spent 100$ for a year subscription before on a TSP service which I did not re-new.

I have not subscribed to https://tspcalc.com/ yet and currently do not subscribe to any stock service.

I only recently started using TPScalc so I can't say for sure if it "works" but it seems like a great tool and I am also paying the subscription.

by the way, anyone know which # seasonal strategy the Guru is using?

Why do you think Guru is using a seasonal strategy? I'd say he/she is not. I'd say he/she has simply made timely IFT's.

I have watched his moves for a while, he sure looks non-seasonals to me. I think he uses a “market is overreacting” system. But I wonder is it methodical with exact numbers, or more gut related?

I really appreciate this website and the tspcalc even though many of us have had a tough year. I'd like to subscribe to TSPcalc, but I have one question...once we sign up is the subscription for the remainder of the calendar year or is it for 12 mos?

For example, if I sign up today do I have access until next August 20 or until the end of the year Dec 31?

Thanks in advance!

My account reads: Subscription Renewal: 2019-05-12

So I'm good through 5/12 of next year. 5/12/18 was the day I finally subscribed. It's good for 12 months from when you subscribe.

Because of my lack of smarts, I usually just read these forums but I have to add to this topic.
1) $19.99 for a year subscription – cheap. My wife pisses away 20Xs that amount in a year’s time (ok, probably more). So in the future I plan on giving myself an early birthday or Xmas present, not so I can see the Trading Calendar but so I can play with the Seasonal Builder!
2) It is a tool. How you use it depends on you. Where else can you find models that produce PNRs of 90.22/90.80 with CAGRs of 27.02/25.65 and Std Dev of 8.04/9.13 from 2004 thru YTD? Is this information on the Trading Calendar anywhere … no. It can all be found in the free version … more work on your part, but again how you use the tool depends on you.
3) The market is never a given. Many, many, many things influence it, even a new presidency… I am still trying to get a pulse on that!
