Going Out On A Limb

Post by Tomanyiron »

My forecasting says the Friday before Washington's Birthday will be a good day to submit an IFT to one of the stock funds (C or S).
OK, now go at it, why do you think I said that?
1- I think Washington was a good president.
2- snafu's "Mr. Perfect" sent me an email saying that.
3- The Lunar calendar is what controls stock prices.
4- That's about the time Cron is going to give up and capitulate.
5- You think it's because___________________.

It's also Valentines Day weekend and you think the market loves you.

No Chief I think it hates me, well maybe not as much as crondanet.
Anyway what calendar you looking at, that's a week after Valentines. And even if it did love me on Valentines, like my wife, it would be over it by then.

Look again at your calendar, President's Day is Monday, February 15 this year. Kinda early compared with past years. Still, my wife loves me regardless ....

I did not say President's Day. I know they combine Lincoln and Washington's BDs for the President's Day Fed Holliday. But Feb 22 is our first presidents birthday.

I stand corrected.

I see snow flakes out of my office window.

Have a great weekend.

Oh man I wished I had waited until after President's Day to decide which one I was talking about. I had two chances to be right, and I messed it up. :(

I believe it's because, historically, even during 2008, the markets go up during that time. I had already planned to make a move on the 19th.
I'm just making this up as I go along.

Thanks for the support sunny. I put you on my watch-list. Don't you back-out now.

Tonmmie please let me know by Private Message the day before you make your IFT so I don't miss the chance to submit one as well.

BTW. I don't hate you. I think your IFT timing is impeccable.

Sorry about the confusion, My U.S. Government Desk Calendar has Feb. 15 listed as Washington's Birthday (Observed) in red. So you can see how I mistook your reference.

:shock:For as long as I have known you, that’s the first time I ever saw you misspell a word.
Did you intend to write imprecise or imperfect.
As you are my contrary indicator, I'm not sure if I like impeccable anyway.

That’s OK Chief, if I still got those I would have made the same mistake I guess. One more thing the Government is messing with, people’s birthdays now.
