I'm hoping to find a little stability in the Bond market for the next week or so... I bought in earlier this week for safety. I'm sticking with the F Fund until things settle a little bit. On a pretty wild day, that seems to have worked.

Prices have started to fall this afternoon...not looking good for equities on Monday if this keeps up.

Having not seen market action like this before, I'm confused on what Monday will likely bring. Can anyone explain why the market would be down on Monday after a day like today? From what I've seen since I started participating in TSP is that an "up" day generally follows a "down" day.

This is extreme. I was looking for signs of equilibrium...sideways price action today. The market tanked big time overnight and bounced but that bounce isn't holding and what we're seeing is further declines as the day progresses. This is going to spook those that may have considered trying to buy a dip and prompt additional stop loss orders or flights to safety from those that have stayed put up to this point. Looks a lot like the China Yuan devaluation crash back in August.

Did the same last week. Everything is in the F right now. Heading to Italy and Greece next week until July 11th. Hopefully the F slowly and steady pods along.

Nice little bump today while the sky is falling though.

Most interesting pending IFTs I saw today: peteruso & Rarebreed who were 100% in C/S and went 100% I. Interesting strategy, to make best of bad situation by buying fund with higher projected loss. Hope it works for them.

I wonder how many IFTs were submitted before the cut off today. Would be interesting to know what everyone did across the TSP.

Evil Anne,
If you go to one of the pages such as TSP Center Home on the right side of the page is a window that list the days IFTs. It is called "Pending Allocation Changes".

I nominate benhem612 for the "Call of the Week" after getting out of the I yesterday.

Thank you nrialto. That said I mostly got lucky on a hunch and only went in because I thought there was no way they would vote leave. If I fund hadn't opened so strongly yesterday I probably would have stayed in and not been as satisfied with the bump.

I'm waiting to see what happens Monday. I may be wrong, but I have a feeling this isn't just going to be a dip. Maybe not Monday, but I think stocks will drop further next week. If the S&P drops down to around 2000 I am buying.
