Will the S&P 500 Hit 2500 in 2017?

I'd take profits at 2335, if that breaks and want to stay in, look at 2450. before correction

Just hit 2,337 today. Will be see a pullback or will it keep going toward 2,450?

There might well be a pullback, but 2500 for 2017 is almost a given at this point in my opinion. The seasonal players currently in the C-Fund are creeping up on the leader board. It's going to be interesting to watch the seasonal moves on March 1st.

The VIX is considered by many to be contrarian indicator for the S&P-500. The index has dropped down near 10.0. That sentiment could be telling us a reversal is in the cards.
But the VIX can stay contrarian bearish for a while before a pullback is started.
I interpret the VIX bumping higher from these levels as a potentially better sell signal.

I continue to watch it but continue to trade each fund on its own merits.
The IFT rules forces us to look at longer averages more than we may like. Especially at the beginning of the month.

After studying the implications of a rise in the VIX, I came up with a number, a sell trigger point. My forecast is, when the VIX reaches the unlucky no.13, "Sell in May" will start.
