Supposing the C and S do benefit from the tax-break announcement, which do you think will do better... and do you go to safety before Friday in case a shutdown is announced?

Well jumping ship early paid off well until the market opens today and we shall see, but it was the only way I seen a positive return for the month. Hanging in G till Friday then seasonal to C. I really wanted to stay in as I think today will be another positive day, but got SCARED!

Well I made a promise to myself that I'd stick with the seasonal strategy every month till the end of the month and it looks like it might be a good decision. Pre market has the EFA up .42....so I guess just wait and see what happens!

Cheers!

I will ride it out in the I until end of month. Temptation usually bites me.

Well I guess I got a gift from the gods, I jumped out of I fund on Monday after the big gain, but guess I was a little late making the jump, I moved in here at 1201 and my real account at 1205 the change took affect here but not on the real TSP site, so got the gains from yesterday also lucky me. I always thought we had till 1215 to make the move guess my lack of knowledge paid off this time.

Divergence in I Fund & EFA today: -0.11% vs +0.09% I wonder if volume of IFTs has an impact with many trading out of I Fund :?:

My plan for the month of April was to ride it out in the I fund too CrocSix...
But after that nice fat 2.5% gain on Monday, I took my winnings and folded.

Sitting in the G fund for the foreseeable - everything is looking too rich for me.
The C, S and I all have big open gaps below their current levels. And you know those gaps always get filled sooner or later...

Good luck bro

04/25-04/27 the I fund made .4% You mentioned sitting in G till May and then back to seasonal. If you "get scared" and move in and out, then you are not playing seasonal. Not that anyone has to, but you're completely missing the point of a true seasonal strategy. I made the transfer this morning, so still riding the I train until May 1. Still made over 2.5% this month.

At the risk of sounding like a dick, tell me now if you feel so lucky. Your .02% vs the I fund's .65% Remove your emotions from this, you'll be so much more relaxed, and chances are, you'll win in the long run.
