Tommie why is 42 the answer?

Post by mjedlin66 »

Tommie, do you hear me? Why is the answer 42? Can you produce a chart for me, Tommie?

Maybe we can get Deep Thought to give us the chart you're wanting, MJ.

At the very least, Deep Thought could design a computer that will calculate the chart. I don't care as long as I don't have to hear Cron's Vogon poetry.

Every IFT is a roll of the dice
42 is the number of spots on a pair of dice.
6 + 5 + 4 + 3 + 2 + 1 = 21 X 2 dice = 42.

mj 17 is a more interesting number. Whether it is 9 + 8 or 10 + 7 or any of the other simple/compound equations the answer is 17. Interestingly enough, my middle school age contacts keep telling me 17 keeps coming up on math tests. My suspicion is that because in the elementary addition tables 9 + 8 is in the upper range of those tables so the educators' assumption is if they know 9 + 8 there is a good chance they know the rest of their addition tables. Thi8nk about it. 17.

Now would you like to discuss the number 0 and its place in American politics?

It sounds like I need more middle school age contacts. I haven't had insider information from that sector in a while.

Only problem with that is it might take 7 1/2 million years to get it....

mj it is amazing how we lose contact with the young. They are such fun. You should get the game Dr. Eureka! to connect with them. Or become a master at Minecraft.
