This is depressing. I'm wondering if the stock market bubble is not so much of a big bubble anymore. I hope the strength and mood will change for better when the fat man comes around.

It's not end of the world, yet. Think positive.

Looks like the F fund “came to a fork in the road, so it took it”, (Yogi-isms). However, as you can see, the F fund Strength has been creeping up, with less negative numbers the past 3 days.
Mood made a large drop, which could have been deeper, if negative volume had been more.

Hopefully the Santa Rally won't depend on any tax reform news.

I have said this for months on this forum. The S fund will sail or sink depending on tax reform. Just look at the last two days based upon the House passing tax reform. As of right now the S fund is up almost 2% in 2 days. God help us if it fails though.

Do you really think that tax reform will only positively affect small cap companies and not the large companies of the S&P 500? This tax reform should benefit the larger international companies the more, therefore any "news" about tax reform progress should have raised both the S & C funds (but didn't).

I say it's a coincidence that the S fund is up when this bit of "news" about an unsigned piece of legislation popped up. The House has already mangled tax reform, the Senate has a different plan and after they get together to compromise something to send to the President, it won't look like Trump's tax plan (maybe a good thing) so maybe he will just veto it. And even if it does get passed, it won't take effect for two more tax years. If the Smart Money (mutual fund & hedge fund managers controlling trillions of dollars) can be duped into buying based on "news" of some unknowable untimely non-legislation, then maybe that Big Market Meltdown and Greatest Depression really will happen as predicted by all the Finance Doomsayers.

I think that crondanet5 is right about S fund jumping up due to today being November's options expiration Friday. Short sellers probably got squeezed too, creating a buying frenzy trying to cover their shorts.

Hopefully our "news media" can help out the Santa Rally (and maybe all of December) by duping all those consumers into outspending their neighbors on Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Christmas. You don't have to pay till next year so spend! spend! spend!
