+.17% :) stupid I Fund... haha!

There is absolutely no way of tracking this fund. The EFA was down .22 and the dollar up .8 and the I fund was up .17. Lol, you just have to keep your fingers crossed and wait for the share prices to come out in the evening.

Glad it's not a big deal in your neck of the woods.

That's good to hear. I guess no bracing for a tsunami...yet? The big one in 2011 was pretty bad...not trying to scare you mj. Heck, I'm scared and I'm about 7,000 miles away.

If a tsunami hits Okinawa, I will at least see it coming. I live on the 7th floor, 100 feet from the ocean.

Japan is likely to have more earthquakes and NK has a wacky leader; have you named someone as your tspcalc beneficiary? A guy name, beer might be a good choice. :)

They F*** YOU with the I-fund, okay? They F*** YOU with the I-fund! They know you're gonna be miles away before you find out you got f***ed! They know you're not gonna turn around and go back, they don't care. So who gets f***ed? Ol' Leo Getz! Okay, sure! I don't give a f***! I'm not eating this tuna, okay?

:D

Well after a pretty flat back half for September we still ended up snagging a nice 2.14%. The I and especially F were the suck during that time. That being said got to say I'm pretty happy with the 1st quarter of my year 1st Year Daily Mix experiment.

Sept. 2017 = +2.14

Daily Return since Jun 1, 2017 = +8.23%

Mmmmmbeer YTD = +16.20%

Here we go... safe as kittens in the G fund for almost two trading weeks.

I'm with you on this one, patiently waiting for hopefully a lower buy-in so the last 2 1/2 months of 2017 can shoot me up to 20%.

(10% in the last 2 1/2 months is a fair dream, right? ;))

I've been trying to direct some people at my job to check this sight out (have been telling people for the last 4 years since I've been a member) and I can't get anyone to really gain interest. It shocks me how little people want to learn about the TSP, potential tips and advice, and experience. Even early in my career I feel I can gain enough to have well over a million by the time I retire in 25 years.

Just blows me away people are content in a G-fund or L-Fund for all the years they have a TSP...

Yes, you can make a million in 25 years. I am shooting for 1 million in 17 years total, which will be age 40 for me.

Yes, people seem to not really be interested in the TSP. They think it is too complicated for them to understand, so they choose not to be involved with it at all.
