Invest? If you invest another penny, you're a buffoon IMO. Go spend the damn money. You can't take it with you!

Maybe gebbie2 is already spending some of that money and fully enjoying life.

Agree with what most have said. You have ample "retirement/set aside" $$. Open a regular taxable brokerage account and put it in there then just use it as you see fit and yes.......enjoy life!!

A boat and a couple of fishing polls, a trip around the world, African safari, a house up in the mountains or on the beach, give to something you love...enjoy life. :D

I hear cocaine is still quite lucrative these days; you know, if you are really out of investment ideas.

Uggg.... I started with Vanguard, and don't see why everyone likes them so much. I like my Fidelity so much more and their site is just amazing to me. Nothing like seeing my balances across every account on 1 screen. USAA Science/Technology fund rolling in a close second.

I've put most chips on NVDA with its pace towards Self Driving chips (Google and Apple wasted precious time and money trying to build a car so I feel safe) along with some dividend paying retail that got hurting from the retail woes. Along with multiple Funds across brokerage accounts, but its hard to get into good dips.

My best investments have been in 77' Cadillac and my 92' Skyline with associated garage. A nice relaxing classy car is a great investment for your well being. Permanent plate on the Caddy so only have to keep collectors insurance and enjoy a nice ride through town every once in a while when I'm at home. Can't find the keys to the Skyline... so maybe not so much right now :( Enjoy your earnings some, it looks like you have things settled.

I echo a lot of the other people here. Use at least some of the extra to enjoy yourself! If you're 18 years from retirement, you're still probably young and healthy enough to travel to wherever you want. If your kid is old enough to appreciate it, have a "once in a lifetime" type of trip here and there. Enjoy it while you're still physically able to travel!

You are doing EVERYTHING right, and you're putting more than enough away in every feasible avenue. You are saving enough for you and your children to be comfortable later in life.

What happens if you save it up for your future inheritors and they don't appreciate all the hard work, dedication and sacrifice you put up with to save it and they blow it quick - what then? just asking.

Which is why I'm leaving most of my money to a couple of charities. I'm a widow with no children so I have a beneficiary participant account. I have several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and was told by someone to list them as my beneficiaries. I love them dearly, but why, when for years my late husband and I never received a thank you card, call, or even text message for birthday, Christmas gifts and money? So inconsiderate. Charity is the best way to go.

That's on their dumb butts. Ill be sleeping late that day. But, I've been thinking maybe just declaring my will to say "Thunderdome!!!"

But yea, when had nothing and suddenly you get a check for 90+K in your hands, it seems to be insanely easy to go "Weeeeeee! New Cars for me and all my kids!". Overpriced steak dinners tonight!!! Most people think nothing about the fact that bills will always need to be paid, bad things will surely pop up... and you are still earning the same paycheck that you were before.

Out of 3 siblings, I may be the only one with any money from a inherited lawsuit over here.
