Daily Seasonal is SPOT ON....

Post by alligatorm »

Wow, the more I watch this Daily Seasonal strategy, the more impressed I am....

Everyone who made the suggested switch from the C fund to the I fund yesterday must be lovin' life today.
C fund is taking a nose dive (alone with the S fund) and the I fund is shooting up!

And the Transport Index (that age ol' predictor of US stocks) is wayyy down today and has been getting hammered all week. That doesn't bode well for the C or S in the near term....

Looks like the Daily Seasonal called it correctly - US stocks in trouble and the I fund is the place to be !

Good Luck everyone.....

We're talking incremental losses of less than a third of a percent. I wouldn't call that a "nose dive."

Imagine that >>> a missed IFT...that NEVER happens. However, I did notice the L2030 had a 12.55% gain yesterday.

Yen's don't get overly comfortable with the market action >>> we're already into the historically poor market action period so current market action is a bit of an anomaly. The summer swoon is near, it's just a matter of time. Preserve those gains...before you get blindsided.

I made the switch yesterday as well. Where can I get more info on the Daily Seasonal?

LOL...enjoy the moment. I hope it works but it could be a different picture by end of the day and you never know whether or not the I Fund will coincide with EFA.

opg see http://tspcalc.com and there are several threads that mjedlin66 started in the forum

I left the seasonal C on Monday thinking it was time for a correction, boy I sure was right it corrected higher. I need to learn to follow the Seasonal, make my move and not look at this site or listen to anything the entire month maybe that will help me. I follow it for the most part, but get worried sometimes and make bad moves most of the time. I was getting back in Friday COB for Monday now I will have to wait and see what to do have that 1 IFT left.

That's called INVESTING, Brother (or sister).

Kinda like why FISHING isn't called CATCHING or why work is spelled J.O.B instead of F.U.N.

I noticed that the day before when there was a massive drop. I'm pretty sure it was a clerical error. I think they put the L2020 price in for the L2030 instead (25.8740). I was teasing a co-worker about how mismanaged the L2030 fund he has all his money in was

Haha.. yup these moments feel great. Almost compares to how sad I felt using the daily at the beginning of the month in the G fund while the C & I were gaining, so you know... can't get it wrong or right every time! :)

Oh don't I know it about the EFA vs the I fund.. you can't trust it! That being said... the last 2 days the dollar is dropping vs overseas currency so the EFA numbers might even be a smidge low.

Hate rooting against the dollar though. :?

Navig8tor hit the nail on the head. The google charts automatically adjust their y-axis for best fit, so even if it shows a big cliff on the graph, you really have to look at the percentages. Today was pretty much flat for C fund.

It worked out well today. Time will tell if it will continue. I'm not ready to jump on the daily train yet though.
