I started my TSP in 2007. So, I used the calculator to see what the last 10 years in the top daily would have netted.

Balance - $1
Annual Pay $55k
Increase - 0.5%
Contributions - 5%
10 years @ 37% return

Your existing account balance $1.00
Growth of your existing account balance $22.34
Your future contributions $56,254.12
Growth of your future contributions $335,256.37
Total estimated TSP account balance $391,533.83

I sat in 2040 for 8 years, then made an emotional move out of S last Feb and missed out on all those gains in March/April. Ate Brexit for lunch... And so many folks on here called that, and avoided it. . So, I have 57k instead. :D

I'm hoping for the best, and thank you brilliant people here for dropping your knowledge.

GEESH....

I sure am glad the Daily Seasonal moved us from the I fund to the S fund last week !
(How did the Daily know that "Fire and Fury" was coming? )

The I fund's major components are taking a beating - DAX down over 1%! FTSE down almost 1-1/2%, even Japan is down..... Once the I fund numbers settle out, that final number is going to be hurtin' !

The F fund had a good day yesterday and even though it is only barely positive so far today, I'm not complaining.... Look at the alternatives - C fund down over 1%, S fund down almost 1.5% and the worse part is that the Dow Transport is down AGAIN today - to the tune of over 1%.... That tells me this slide down isn't over yet folks....

Decided to take the plunge and go with the 7653 Daily Seasonal. How do y'all do your contributions? Do you set them to match your next IFT? If so, do you plan that ahead a bit to make sure the change goes through in time? I'm thinking contributing 100% F and letting it sit until the next IFT day.

You're right - that "S" was a typo - my bad...
Should be "Daily Seasonal moved us from the I fund to the *F* fund last week"

Well the S fund looks like it's down over 3% from the previous high it set back in late July. Could it be setting up for a timely move back upwards about the time the daily seasonal goes to S next week?

Good observation MD. If you're right, those daily numbers could increase exponentially.
