Investopedia’s Anxiety Index
Some members like the Fear & Greed Index, http://money.cnn.com/data/fear-and-greed/,
It’s an investor sentiment gauge of sorts.
Another sentiment index that may be of interest is Investopedia’s Anxiety Index. http://www.investopedia.com/anxiety-index/
Investopedia uses the site visitors to calculate the index. When increased numbers are looking at terms that have negative sentiment, such as short selling and volatility, that is and indication of anxiousness. If more topics pertain to strong points in the economy, then that suggest less anxiety, which would be a bullish.
Interesting but I consider both anecdotal evidence, until back-tested. And I can’t find past readings, which prevents it from being correlated with past market action.

For crying out loud who gives a crap about a freakin' anxiety index or the constant onslaught of charts. Stop trying to increase your post counts with this garbage man.

I'm very interested in the anxiety index as well as the VIX too. Thanks, Tomanyiron!

Thanks for the info, very interesting. Anyone that doesn't see these indicators as relevant clearly doesn't understand what makes the market move up/down. I wouldn't make concrete decisions based on this, but could indicate corrections or solid future performance. Great info Tomanyiron

cnbc's options action program noted the VIX at its lowest level in years and postulated a quiet market the next 30 days.

For crying out loud who gives a crap about post counts. What's wrong with you gocart? You mad at the world, because you lost that 46.10%?

Hey.. some guys get off on charting, others don't. Too each his own brother. If you don't dig the charting (quite honestly thats sorta me), don't clickem.
I gave them a chance, but they're not my cup o tea. That being said Tommy and the crew in his threads dig them... supercool for them bro. There's room for all.
