August - The Next IFT
So what is everyone planning for August? I think most of the seasonals go to F. Mine included.
But with the HUGE -47% drop to the C fund last week, I may have to stay put for a few years.

Not so sure. Based on my observation, 2011, 2013, 2015 were bad for C, S, I funds...the odd years. F fund did so so. So, does that mean this year will be bad as well? May be different if tax reform is being worked on soon. Several that moved to S fund last week and now moving to C fund today might know something???

The HUGE drop in the C Fund was a typo.

Actually, I believe it was a glitch in the Matrix... Some people were transported to August 2008 while others hugged their virtual loved ones.

Its rare for the markets to get an early bull rush like we got this year, but in the rare instances where we do, we generally get a second bull rush sometime in August. 2013 saw a good year with 2 bull periods and that brief June drop.
I plan to ride out C and S until the end of the year and hope history repeats.

Re: August - The Next IFT
As a market timer, my plans depend alot on what the market does the next week or so. But I’m thinking I may stay in the S fund until the 4th of August. That decision is basted on the “turn of month” bias, the Moon cycles, and how thick the hair is on the woolly worm caterpillar this year. Well, I guess the woolly worm is a seasonal system of sorts, so I’m not 100% market timer.
