In keeping up with what Tomany does on Strength in Mood, it seems that what he does chart weekly somewhat validates the seasonal when you compare to the different mixes

Okay, but which one? That's why I am suggesting a chart of all the Seasonals to see which one is best this year.

TSPCalc2.0 can do that. Samples attached for 1month and YTD.

I think it comes down to August and September just being historically really shitty volitile months for the market. The F fund isn't really a money maker as much as a hedge from falling to far to fast. Sure it might lose some but won't be scads. It's bretty much a win smallnor lose small option.

I'm cool with it for what it is.

mmmmmbeer take a look at what the Top 5 Leaders are invested in and when they last made an IFT. Are any in the F Fund, and thus following the Seasonal?

Hey man that's cool... the top guys are riding the I Fund. I'm cool with following my plan. There's really no way I'd be sitting in the I fund with 100% of my real money since March for sure.

I personally don't hold much stock in the fantasy tsp numbers. That's great you can get a pretend 19% return. If you follow that with your real money, wow, you've got way more stones than me. I don't trust much my friend... and I'll let you know the I fund is one of those things I don't trust. My I fund from 2015 is waving at me with 15k in losses.... =(

That looks pretty impressive...when did you say you expected to release V2?

I am about to spend a week in Thailand. Get back to me after the hangover wears off.

Thailand is about as close to North Korea as San Diego is to New York.

Think about how much you would have if you would have remained in the I fund since 2015. That share is up a lot since then. I don't see anything materializing in North Korea and anticipate the market returning to highs soon. I may be wrong, but that is what makes investing a risk. Of course we all wish we could be in the G fund when the market drops, but if you can predict when negative external events are going to happen, I would suggest you go out and pick your Powerball or Mega Millions numbers.

So true. The I fund buy and holders have made a ton this year alone.
