Do you follow the Daily Seasonal with your real TSP?

I would really like to see how 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002 show in this strategy. I'm curious to the issue with an economic downturn.

I tried to put it together but I couldn't find all the daily share prices. From what it looked like 2003 was going to be a negative year by like 17%? I probably did it incorrectly though so don't mind me!

Moved 50% to Daily and kept 50% in Monthly (GClapper).

Interesting to note that there's currently only 64 votes of "Yes, I follow a daily seasonal", yet there are well over 100 people with pending IFTs to S. I can't imagine that's a coincidence since the current leading strategy moves to S. So I don't think the poll isn't very representative of what people are really doing.

Well I think there's a pretty big difference in how a lot of people do their fantasy tsp vs. their real tsp. So while a lot of folks are willing to give it a go for their fantasy, they may be reluctant to "go for it" with their real money. Real losses suck, while fantasy losses... haha.
Also some folks just hate polls.
Those who 'abjure' violence can do so only because others are committing violence on their behalf.

Good point. I sometimes forget they don't always mirror each other. Now I feel dumb.

That's what I'm doing, too. I'm not brave enough to go 100% yet maybe after a big correction or recession.
Re: Do you follow the Daily Seasonal with your real TSP?
Maybe a follow-on poll that allowed for another "yes" choice (i.e. - "Yes, I'm experimenting with a Daily strategy" or something along those lines) would provide more insight and explain all the IFTs to S today. There may be some (myself included) that are using a Daily strategy for a portion of their real TSP but didn't feel comfortable with answering Yes. Awesome work BTW!

I'm a recent subscriber. There is much to absorb. I understand alot of this only at a high level and am learning by reading your posts. Thanks to all of you for an informative discussion. The post regarding a mix between daily and monthly is interesting. For now I'm watching how this works and think I will be more comfortable with a move to daily in the latter part of September after I'm better educated. So for now my mix here remains what it was before I found this great resource. Again thanks to all for helping me learn here.

I follow #7474 with my real tsp.

I'm in 100% S. I haven't chosen a final strategy yet. It will likely be #7980 for it's significantly lower deviation, while still indicating over 30% mean and 6000% total.
