Irma market affect

Post by heckrules »

Currently following the daily seasonal strategy....I'm thinking about a move to G-fund later this week if Irma continues on its path as a Cat 4 or 5 and follows current projections of running up through Florida...reasoning...knowing the peak of hurricane season is still a week away & two strong hurricanes striking the US within weeks will result in a sizeable hit to the market in the short term...thoughts? :?:

Gold Leader: It's no good, I can't maneuver!

Gold Five: Stay on target.

Gold Leader: We're too close!

Gold Five: Stay on target!

Gold Leader: [shouts] Loosen up!

[he too is picked off by Vader and Company; Gold Five tries to escape but is fatally winged]

Gold Five: Gold Five to Red leader, lost Tiree, lost Dutch.

Red Leader: I copy, Gold Leader.

Gold Five: They came from... behind!

Sticking with my plan... that's why they call it a plan.

I am watching as well...
market has not had a decent correction in a while.
NK still throwing temper tantrums
September is the weakest month for equities...
Government shutdown?

IMO, All these point to a decent chance of a small correction....
BUT, when has anything gone as planned over the last 9 months?..

If we have that little correction though, I will be out of F and into S in a heart beat until the 18th so I can get in sync with one of the dailies...(at least with part of my funds...)

Good luck

Again I still think these events will have minor short term effects. I'm not too worried.

Yea I'm more concerned about a correction due to the time since the last one over any specific events. But then again who knows.

You know... a 1% loss like this would usually freak me out... if I hadn't just watched the S fund do this back and forth 3 times in the last month. We still have a couple weeks to see whats up. Irma, Noko, and Harvey don't help.
