I found it mildly amusing the mass panic that ensued during the little dip we had this month. God help us all if have a major correction...keep in mind there ARE months with pretty substantial losses (4-5%), but STICKING TO THE PLAN seems to be the ticket. So don't panic, ride the wins, and weather the losses.

It would be interesting to see how many people are following which numerical strategy.

When I get the e-mail alerts up and running, I can at least track those enrollment numbers.

I'm following #7980 to a T. So far, I've seen Travis1984 and Longstreet (eyeing) on 7980.

I'm counting my #7980 brothers or sisters here ... :-)

In the beginning I used market timing for several years. Then moved to a more seasonal variation for a few years. Switched to a daily #7980 in beginning of August.

i'm doing 7980 as well...but I screwed up last month and am trying to correct myself this month. So I went into S first of this month, now what to do Monday....go to I or just wait to go to F a few days later??

I'd probably go to F on the prescribed date. But it's a dice roll.

I'm tracking 7980 as well - screwed up last month and hoping to ride the "I" wave next week then fall back to "G" hopefully strategically.

Am I correct in stating that I will need to use my last IFT for this month this Monday (18th), prior to 1200 hours for my move to "I"?

I wish somebody would start a FB profile for this. Trying to get my fed friends to get on TSPCENTER and research has proven fruitless. I feel like if they seen how well everybody was doing or if they seen something about TSP on their news feed every now and then, they might get a little more interested.

I'm sure this has been brought up numerous time before, but it would be nice if we could organize the strategies by the historical mean MONTHLY returns in TSPCalc. This would involve moving between strategies each month, but if you took the best monthly mean average of all the strategies I'm sure that would result in an unbelievable yearly mean.

So you have one less IFT than the strategy right? Just use TSPcalc to put in your different options. Going to F later or earlier. Pick the one you like best. Just look at the best average return for September, then get back on track for October.

BTW, I am "all in" with 7980 also. Fantasy and real TSP. Count me as a 7980 brother.
