Even if signed into law, any specific changes have to be included in a separate authorization or appropriation bill. I wouldn’t get too worked up over what was included at this point since the Congress as a whole has had tremendous trouble passing any legislation in both chambers.
Cynically mode, engage: There were, essentially, zero facts in that statement.

I agree. Did you work in HR, evilanne? You sure know a lot! :D
Never worked in HR...wasn't too impressed with some in the field that couldn't answer simple questions at times where I had to research answers myself online or look up the underlying regulations/US Code.

That's been my experience too. I have found the website to be more helpful than people working there. I think that has to do with the pressure they receive and the constant turnover. I wish there was a way to fix HR in the government. It's a nightmare.

The folks in our HR seem very unhappy.

Agree with that @ksmoly04. Our do nothing congress continues to be a do nothing congress.

Do NOT bring politics into this forum. Immediate ban should be the response

In the context of the TSP legislation spoken of here, what does your reference to "our do nothing congress" mean? What should the default position of congress be in this matter, in your opinion? Your comment, without context, doesn't seem to make sense.

Evilanne
But it appears that you have become excellent at finding the answers. I enjoy your commentary and insight.
There have been many changes in Human Resources in the last 10 years. I think it takes the best and brightest to keep up with the constant changes. I am not convinced that the Shared Service in one office for the whole country has proved to be overly impressive. Every employee situation is different and it gets complicated.

The Mods won't be banning anybody for political speech. We'll moderate if necessary if it gets out of hand, such as if profanity, direct insults or petulant childlike behavior ensues. But political assertions or speech by itself isn't a banning offense.

You'll need to eat your cake before you eat it too .... and then you too can eat it in two. I believe that is what is being conveyed.

I couldn't tell if it was a typo or a twist on the cake cliche...

...and if you're explaining the "twist", I still don't understand the reference.
