Leader Board by Account Balance

Post by inla$vega$ »

Sometimes the Fantasy leaders are referred to as a possible ones to follow. Besides the obvious top five fantasy player after about eight years (e.g., mkw53, john2121, BobbyE88, wwwtractor, Sig) shown on the Top Account Balance Users table there are others that have more than double their account balances after about five years.

This scatter chart of the Leader Board by Account Balance is a snapshot of just some of the data in late October 2017 (note the account totals change daily). The solid line shows approximately a 20% annual return. The group of five fantasy players above the line after 5-6 years of fantasy play (e.g., JimH, Timboslice, Cville6 and Roger) are also ones to put on your watch list. How did they do it?

I really wish it listed average annual return rather than account balance. Account balance is basically who has been playing the longest, rather than a showing of skill/knowledge/aptitude.

And that's why his graph shows the balance vs the time in the game...

I'm not complaining about his graph? I'm complaining about the site's balance leaderboard metric.

Sure, let's change the game...maybe we can get King to sell some fantasy dollars; donate $10 to King for a $100,000 in your fantasy account balance.

This is a WIN-WIN situation: a WIN for King to help run his AWARD winning website and a WIN for anybody who needs recognition for having the highest balance.
