Dec. 8 = Budget deadline = 7980 moves to G

I just thought it was interesting. IF (BIG IF) there was a shutdown, I like the idea that I'll be moving to G at COB on the day of the midnight deadline. I also like that IF there was a shutdown, my next move will be one week after the panic selloff.
Check out the charts. If you moved to G on the first day of the 2013 shutdown, you dodged a 2-3% drop. If you bought back in one week later, you rode up the recovery plus some.
I understand...its all intertwined...averages are skewed by extremes...I'll probably be at work on Monday...blahblahblah

oops sorry, not inauguration day, election day, so 12 month from today

2 of my strategies call for getting out the 8th also. My riskier strategy calls for staying in that whole time in S. Hmmm. I'll make a decision when we get there.
