I'm still confused. Thanks for the people that sent me links to the spreadsheets. I just picked 7980 but don't know what I'm looking at. I've been away for a while... I don't know what cross point is? What is it? How do I use one of these spreadsheets? Sounds stupid I know, I'm just not the sharpest tool in the shed I guess... Was called a Bimbo... But I'm over it, some chimed in about fake accounts but no real narrative on what I'm looking and how to use it. I'm familiar with the STD seasonal seasonal, but I see no description on how this works. Please help! Thanks!

Let me get very basic here. But that's hard because it's rather complicated.

The calculator allows you to change Interfund Transfers (IFTs) throughout the year using the TSP rules. You may change the date of the transfer as well as the fund into which they are transferring. Each final product creates a "strategy" Each strategy is then charted going back to 2004 using the daily TSP end of the day share prices and plotted using percentage gains or losses (negative numbers.)

The mean, standard deviation, Total Compounded return, percentage of time in C,S,or I, among other data is displayed as well as monthly and yearly totals.

You can use the thousands of strategies already in the system to find something that you like or you can create your own. This part is very difficult to describe and I would suggest doing two things.

1. Play with the calculator. We have all tried and we can't seem to break it.
2. Browse the forums. Click on people's links (like mine below.) You will pick up a lot of information as you read and click on people's links, then adapt and change their strategies.

Good Luck.
100% in the daily system since August 2, 2017.

I decided the easiest way for me to put together a how-to is with a screen capture video. I did not anticipate it being 28 minutes long. It isn't perfect, but it is what I could offer with little effort.

Great idea. It would be great to have a link on tspcalc.com too.

Good video, mj. Really explains all of the options possible on your calculator.
