TSP Indexes on non-trading days
Hi all!
So Friday was the day we observed Veterans Day (thanks for serving so I can be free to write this post ) and there was no TSP activity since it is a government holiday. However the indexes still moved. Particularly AGG (F Fund) moved quite a bit. Are we in for a nasty surprise today when the markets open back up? Will those in the F fund start at .4% in the hole or does Friday's activity not affect the TSP funds and we'll pick up where we left off?
Thanks in advance for the knowledge!

Re: TSP Indexes on non-trading days
According to the NYSE calendar, even though for Federal employees we were off, the market is open except the bond markets. I see on the tspcalc site it shows Nov 10th as a non-trading day. Thanks for the info

Oh, Friday counted. from the TSP Website: "The Thrift Savings Plan will be closed on Friday, November 10, in observance of the Veterans Day holiday. However, financial markets will be open for business. Transactions made on Friday, November 10, will be processed as usual."Greenangle wrote:Hi all!

If you look at the F-Fund share price, we took that -0.4% hit on Friday.

LOL. This comes up every time the markets are open on a TSP.gov holiday.

What do you know, the TSP did post share prices on Friday.

Re: TSP Indexes on non-trading days
Since TSP post the Friday share prices, should the IFT day be moved up one? Should day 13 be on Friday November 17 instead of Monday November 20?
