OT hours and their affect on TSP contribution & match?

OT hours and their affect on TSP contribution & match?
So my office (for the first time since I have been a Fed employee, 3 yrs) is offering us OT in December. So my question is how OT will affect my contributions?
As I understand it (correct me if I am wrong) but I will not be "matched" based on my OT hours, or possibly I read I will not be matched based on my OT rate.
Regarding my contributions, say I am contributing on based on a % of my check. Does the OT time up my contribution for the PP or will it be the same?

Re: OT hours and their affect on TSP contribution & match?
Contributions are figured off of base pay. OT will not affect them.

So my contribution for that check will be bigger just because of the extra hours but only based off my base pay and not the OT differential?
And the Match any ideas on that?

Re: OT hours and their affect on TSP contribution & match?
OT (or holiday pay, night differential, Sunday pay…), has no affect on your contributions or matching.
Re: OT hours and their affect on TSP contribution & match?
Your contributions will be the same as it is on you regular 80 hour checks. OT has no affect.
Re: OT hours and their affect on TSP contribution & match?
Thank you, this is interesting because I currently have my % set to 100% of my paycheck for the next 3 checks so I still might get some money thrown into my checking account
I realize the 100% is after all taxes and other pretax items are deducted, I'm just doing 100% of my take home pay into the TSP I miscalculated the amount I should contribute in the beginning of the year and so if I change it for the next 3 checks I will be able ot max out for the year on the last check.

Re: OT hours and their affect on TSP contribution & match?
Be sure to contribute at least 5% each payday to get the government match.
Re: OT hours and their affect on TSP contribution & match?
Just to clarify, the agency automatic 1% and matching up to 4% is calculated from the total of you basic pay and locality.
Re: OT hours and their affect on TSP contribution & match?
Thank you everyone. I was just confused since I am currently contributing 100% of my take home pay what might happen if I work some OT.
Petrov, thanks for the reminder, I wish more people recognized the mistake of not doing the full match.
