TSP Analyzer

Post by winsprint »

This is a great TSP Tracking Software if anyone is interested.
I have used it for about 7 years and works great. I have never had any problems.
Free to download and use.
No data entry required. It does collect your data from your quarterly statements.

Thanks. I've been looking for this. I found it a few years ago and never really used it. I was looking to check it out again and couldn't remember what it was called.

Looks interesting. How exactly does the data get in there?

You download your quarterly tsp pdf's from the the TSP site, then put them all in a file. Once you are inside the TSPanalyzer, click on "download" and select the whole file containing the PDF's, and it will automatically update using all the data.

Just download and save all your quarterly statements in one location on your computer/hard drive and after installing the software input the path to where you saved your statements. It does the rest.

The owners of TSP Analyzer are outstanding in helping on the rare occasion that you do run into an issue. It usually occurs when the TSP changes the format of the quarterly statements. Send them an email and they are generally all over it within a couple hours.

I run Parallels on my Mac so I have a Windows environment but I really want to get out of Windows apps. If it wasn't because I use Quicken 2016 for Windows (Can't stand the Mac versions) I'd dump Windows all together. So, I asked this question to WINE support and got the following:

The application is a 32bit windows binary.

The application does run well in Wine.
I run it in Linux.
I don't have a MAC and haven't tested Wine on MAC.

https://www.winehq.org/

Wine (originally an acronym for "Wine Is Not an Emulator") is a compatibility layer capable of running Windows applications on several POSIX-compliant operating systems, such as Linux, macOS, & BSD. Instead of simulating internal Windows logic like a virtual machine or emulator, Wine translates Windows API calls into POSIX calls on-the-fly, eliminating the performance and memory penalties of other methods and allowing you to cleanly integrate Windows applications into your desktop.
