Anyone doing an IFT a day early?

Post by Jalpunk »

I know the "stay with the plan" advice that always comes from these questions, but given the track record of our leaders in waiting until the last second to pass or extend these funding packages and the media panic that will happen down to the wire, is anyone moving to F or G before noon today instead of tomorrow? Thinking about jumping this morning as the S fund is on an upswing to start the day (I know that could change at any minute).

I am definitely considering doing it. The market is definitely going to move, which direction is the question.

Although I don't like what the S Fund is doing lately, I am sticking to the plan.

Daily Strategy 17842.

Since moving to the S I'm sitting at .49% unrealized gain. Hopefully the next two days will be positive and push back up over 1% before the IFT to G tomorrow. Been following 7980 and after the week in G I'm thinking of following either 19046 or 15533.

Either way I'm following the strategy, no early moves.

Wishing I would've moved out last week when I posed the same question as I was up almost 2.5% but in same boat up ~0.50%. At this point, sticking to plan. Will move tomorrow.

I am the crazy one already did my IFT to G today. Plan says tomorrow, but don't want to deal with any crazy stuff, also going to be out of the office most of the day and will end up forgetting to move, so do it today and don't worry. Hope for those who stay in tomorrow is a good day, but if not then I made a wise decision good luck to all.

I've found myself doing this (not following the plan) 3x already since going to the Seasonal. The first time I made out, the second time not so much - so let's see how the third time goes.

Vice going to"G" I'm going to split into C, S, and I --> 11DEC-15DEC.

I think crondanet5 got scared, :cry: and is jumping out. He has been real lucky this year, which is rare for him. :lol:

I think Tomanyiron is making an IFT into the S Fund today.

:roll: That's a waste of an IFT, to transfer to the fund you are already in. :oops: :lol:

You have to apply the formula S = F squared / R.

I did not see your IFT back into the S. Should have gotten out that day. Dang.

Trying to ignore the urge. I made a gut move in the past to switch early and it bounced back the next day. Would have made back the loss. Statistics in TSPcalc are helping me to wait for it.

It looks like a majority of the people are moving to G for the duration of next week. I guess I'm the minority that is riding the S train (hopefully for Santa Claus rally) steadily through.
