Friday bump

Post by cashworth »

Hopefully between the decent jobs report yesterday and the continuing resolution passed last night we can have a decent day.

I am following seasonal strategy 7980, which recommends moving to the G for a week, and then the I fund. With the developments in the Brexit negotiations, I'm considering going straight to the I fund. Thoughts?

I think today is certain, but beyond that who knows. Seems like daily events have a heavy influence on the markets. I'm rolling the dice and staying in S until next Friday's move to I fund. Good thing I have 12 yrs to work!

I'm with you rolling the dice. I have been following 7980 but looking at 16870 which shows hanging in S for awhile longer. Since I'm past retirement age I have a $ threshold which I will allow my account to fall too. No plan will keep me from dropping much below that number unless its a massive one day drop.

Hrrmm.. thats the question isnt it.. when do I sell off my VXF today to make sure I get the best rate? The nice thing about that is it's sold at the lock in rate.
