Appears the the C Fund is outperforming the S Fund this week. Looks like Dezracer79 & docrings bailed to G yesterday. This may be your chance to gain some ground ;)

Chart 1: Strength turned up for everything on Friday.

Chart 2: A Yogi-ism applies here, "It ain't over 'til it's over". In this case, “over” is when a market top has come. Somehow the Pull knew that mid-week dip was only temporary.

This is abbreviated, due to the problems staying logged in.
Pull is still up, but not as steep, giving me concerns.
S fund can’t excel, it should be leading in the rallies.
G fund here I come.

Chart 1: The F fund's Strength was the only one up. The F had been tagging along with the stock funds. But it decided Wed that it didn't like where they were headed. Image
Chart 2: The Pull factor came down, that’s no surprise. A “W” bottom here we come.

This site used to have so much quality discussion on the market and technical analysis. Now it seems it's only a forum to discuss which seasonal people are trying out this week. I definitely appreciate the market insight you provide vs. this strat or that strat. Keep it up. Now if we could just get Snaffu back in the game.

Anne to me, this action coming so soon after the pull back, is not good. Looking back from 2010 until now, the other times it occurred right after a bottom, there was a revisit to the lows. If you have access to charts look at mid summer 2010, late summer 2011, Sept. – Oct. 2015, and most recently Jan-Feb 2016.

I can’t say that some “allocation bias” is not playing into my thoughts now, (my recent move to G), but I would be more optimistic if the RSI was not still flat, and the S&P could get above the 20-Day EMA and stay.

Chart 1: Stock Strength continues up for Tuesday. Image
Chart 2: Pull is up for 2 days in a row. But the average is flat over the past 5 days. And it looks a lot like a magnified version of the top at 1/22 -1/26.

But at this point we have to wonder what would cause the market to retest the lows? Granted, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a little pullback in the S fund due to the gains over the last week, but don’t know what would cause it to drop 5% or more. Everybody thought the sky was falling yesterday evening with Cohn leaving, trade wars, presidential indiscretions with porn stars, etc. and at the close the market was barely fazed. I know it sounds paranoid, but I am beginning to believe the market will drop when the folks on Wall Street, overseeing billions of dollars of investor dollars, decide to take it down. Then the pundits come up with reasons why the market dropped(bonds, inflation, flying saucers, etc.). But at the end of the day it dropped simply to profit the few at the expense of the average investor. I am currently in the G fund and would love to see a retest of the lows...but I am not holding my breath. I guess we will have to see what happens on Friday with the jobs report.

I tend to agree with the saying that just because you're paranoid doesn't mean that they are not out to get you  At this point I'm not sure whether it is Wall Street, the Fed or others that should be feared. I looked at the charts for the periods Tomany mentioned, but still don't have a clue :? Anyone know how much the market would have to fall for the PPT to be activated?
