The term "a priori" in statistics and research refers to what is known before/prior to the outcome/data collection. Hypotheses/models created AFTER knowledge of the outcome are considered a posteriori and have limited value in predictive statistics.

While all the data on tspcalc technically a posteriori, a major advantage of the site would be the ability to simulate a priori analyses (e. g., by using models solely based on information from 2004 to predict data from 2005).

I thought your tutorial was very helpful. I've been looking at some other TSP investment strategies and using Excel to compare the past 10 years results. I learned a few things from your tutorial, thanks!
