Just looking for an exit

So you've personally done a thorough analysis of the USPS books and can say on your own that the agreement with Amazon is profitable? That's pretty impressive.

No, but I can say I've done a more thorough review of the information that's available than you.XAMOTOMAX wrote:So you've personally done a thorough analysis of the USPS books and can say on your own that the agreement with Amazon is profitable? That's pretty impressive.
OCTOBER: This is one of the peculiarly dangerous months to speculate in stocks in. The others are July, January, September, April, November, May, March, June, December, August, and February. - Pudd'nhead Wilson's Calendar

You can also say that you lay golden eggs...and believe it too. Doesn't make it true.

Can others post now?
Re: Just looking for an exit
Only if the post contains "nanny-nanny-boo-boo" or "I know you are but what am I?"
Re: Just looking for an exit
I'm not completely sold one way or the other...as I said, I tend to believe Amazon is getting the better end of the deal and overall the deal isn't profitable for USPS. Revenue doesn't equal profit and we don't have a full picture on what has to be spent to generate that revenue. I also don't expect to find an unbiased evaluation of the deal available for mass consumption. But just because I'm a contrarian, here are a couple links for you which I'm sure will be dissected and flamed in typical fashion.

Nice bounce today. Allocation changes are pretty split between G/F and equities. I'm watching for a higher high above 2650 now to see if this thing can turn around.

Where did you find the pretty split between G/F and equities? All I saw on the home page was 20% G on one pending allocation and everything else C, I, or S for April 3.XAMOTOMAX wrote:Nice bounce today. mo meng, mo ching (which loosely means: no money, no life)
Re: Just looking for an exit
Click view all pending allocations and it shows 17% G, 25% F, 50% CSI and the rest split between L funds.
Re: Just looking for an exit
The market makes fools of almost everybody. None of us know what will happen and, yes, a broken clock is even right twice a day. I see all this talk about out smarting the market and avoiding downturns, but I rarely see anybody’s return on here that beat the C/I fund return last year. Because the dailies backed most of us into a corner with 6- 8% losses, some of us feel we have no other choice than to buy and hold at this point and hope for a recovery. The WORST thing at this point, IMO, would be to go to G and watch the market take off if earnings come in better than expected. I know it sucks taking a risk of further losses, but I think buy and hold for now makes the most sense.

Can you elaborate on your comment regarding 2650 and turning things around?XAMOTOMAX wrote:Nice bounce today. Allocation changes are pretty split between G/F and equities. I'm watching for a higher high above 2650 now to see if this thing can turn around.

Hate to speak for XAMOTOMAX but I think he/she meant they are hoping for the S&P 500 to move higher (at 2650), close to where it bottomed out on Thur.
