Is Fedeeek an official site and newsetter of the Fed Govnt? They are sending out a gloom and doom email explaining how China can destroy the U Economy and everyone in TSP will see 50% of their $$ disappear! anyone got the goods on this crap?

Cron, it’s not just a programming joke so much as a play on a fun logic arguement.
I will not pretend to speak for anyone else, but distrust in online information seems to be building. I do not know any of you, but feel as I read your posts I get to know each of you and your goals little by little which helps me determine if I should trust your judgement. For that reason alone, I love this site; it feels genuine and self-serving (meaning serving my interests!), even though I don’t always agree with an individual’s comment. Each commenter seems to be sharing their best strategies or reasons; which is the opposite objective of true capitalism. Not that it’s really served me all that well this year, but I am grateful for the education it’s giving me!

Never daytraded. When Fidelity and Merrill Lynch sent me letters of warning about daytrading (now framed on the wall of honor) I called them and advised I never daytraded, rather, I bought a stock and set a sell price, and if it sold in ten minutes of ownership so what? That was my only trade of the day. So if you ask still a daily trader? Yup. When it works. Otherwise I'm holding. Right now waiting for AMD to move up 7 cents.

Sorry Jedi, did not mean to disrupt the intent of your post. If the article points toward tariffs increasing consumer costs to Americans for goods no longer manufactured in America we might see 50% of the value of our TSP Accounts lost to purchase what we want or need. I do know I will never buy another Whirlpool product after they refused to solve a problem with dry clothes in a completed wash. I will pay for a foreign washing machine that does the job right next time

I need AMD to move up about $4 to at least where I bought it at last summer. Luckily, I bought Nvidia in Feb of last year.

I use craigslist brand washing machines. They cost anywhere from $20-100. They usually work just fine.
