Is today a good to jump to the C fund?

Post by Jalpunk »

I deviated from 20241 after I bought the S fund high a few months back and finally got out into G and nicely minimized my loss. Any thoughts on today (before noon) being a good day to jump into the C fund since it is down so I can get back into the daily?

Screw this, I'm just staying C-fund for the next 25 years of my career. :(

You're not going to find a consensus... the volatility of the market makes these decisions a real spin of the wheel...

It's as good a time as any if you want back into the market. You will not make any money sitting on the sidelines. Volatility is here to stay for now. I would consider the market to remain as a bull overall and end the year positive. If you chase it, you likely won't be happy with the result.

Choosing G while equities decline = making money. Just saying.

Wait until it is down more, then starts back up, would be my advice.

Eaarnings will likely be good for stocks bext week. Interest rates breaking 3 percent may cause a downturn. Trade talk appears to be neutral. May see a little bump but not likely to get much of a return in the short run.

I don't know at what number it will turn. The people that know won't say, and the people that say don't know. :?
Anyway I think you got an extra digit, or missing a decimal or something.

By golly you're right. The problem is the chart I am looking at runs the decimal point out to the end of PI. Guess I better go to the VA and get new glasses.

So. $SPX 2575?

I am getting so tired of every pundit and financial network talking doom and gloom that I am about to go to G and call it a year. All I hear every day is "Oh my God, the market is going to crash when the 10 year hits 3%"; "Oh my God, trade with China is going to crash this market"; "Oh my God, what will Trump do next"; "Oh my God, the Fed is backed into a corner and no matter what they do this could be the worst crash in history"!!!!!
