Seriously, I just started doing that this year and already I've been outperforming my old strategy. I think that the key flaw of daily or monthly "strategy" is that we assume the future will be the same as the past.

Using TSPcalc, I tried to find an acceptable average return over the past 3 full years with 0 F, and settled on strategy #27594. There's other strategies doing better like 31415, but this one is good enough to pick me up to 2.75% 12 Jul close from a couple dumb moves I made on emotions in first quarter that had me -7% in February.
In investing, what is comfortable is rarely profitable.
