That is an absolute fact, Abrams would have been devastating for Georgia, although she is still fighting it still. I'm glad socialism didn't win, capital environments don't do well under them. TSP is going to rally hard this week I am hearing. Also Rick Scott is a pro small business guy, so his ear is crucial to Trump potentially concluding these tariffs talks.

In New York it did. That Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez claims to be a socialist. Has big ideas, of course can't explain how she'll pay for them.Billionair wrote:... I'm glad socialism didn't win, capital environments don't do well under them.

Re: Happy Election Day!
Or maybe it would've gone on for six pages with the topic F. Trump?

To be clear, I don't care for either, just making the point

Fair point. However there is a clear difference between outright cursing and letters symbolizing curse words.

a political and economic theory of social organization which advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community as a whole.
No one advocates that other than some talking points on Faux News.
She advocates for democratic socialism
Democratic socialism is a political philosophy that advocates political democracy alongside social ownership of the means of production with an emphasis on self-management and democratic management of economic institutions within a market socialist, participatory or decentralized planned economy
I don't agree with it either, but socialism is a different bug.

democratic socialism;
'...social ownership of the means of production...'
No difference. The abolishment of private property.
Democratic Socialism falls under Socialism because it is a branch of Socialism. Socialism is the end result, and Democratic Socialism is only the means of it's implementation.
Anyone that claims because our country is a Federal presidential constitutional republic therefore it's not a Democracy is wrong. Our Republic is a subset of the broader term for Democracy.
That being said, I don't believe any of her points would qualify as Socialism.

Democracy begets differences. Differences can be extremes. Capitalism depends on a democratic market to work.
If you are Federal employees, socialism is at work to some extent - my boss only pays me what is available. I contribute my best regardless of what I get. .... Sorry, scratch that, not the dictionary definition of Socialism.
