Historically, the best approach has been to stay in G through the 2nd week of December, and switch into S or I on the 10th or 11th trading day (Dec. 16 or 17, 2018 including the Dec 5 holiday).
This is the consensus of 5 strategies which have outperformed the Max(G,F,C,S,I) by at least % points, each year from 2004-Nov 2018, and without a single negative year.

Alternatively, I'd wait until the SPY:AGG ratio crossed its 5 day moving average to get back in.

Im hesitant to use tspcalc strats as history might not repeat. but i plan to real world back test #53846 in tspfantasy. just cant put much faith in the approach yet.

I'm in the G now and missed the blood bath. Following TSPCalc seasonal 54027 which has me back into the S Fund on the 17th....hoping 12squared's comment on the historical trends holds true in this un-historical year. Can't win if I don't play
