I have seen this in myself and I think I see it in others in some of the forum comments. I guess we like to think of ourselves as immune to being swayed, but I think that is not what often happens.

You’d like Richard Thaler’s books, Nudge and Misbehaving. Thinking Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman is also good. These books completely changed how I think about my own behavior when it comes to finances.
