I never noticed that the C fund had a higher expense ratio than the S Fund or even than the L Funds. Check this for more info:

It actually doesn't!!!!
If you look on your link S has .04 expense but then has .02 for "Other expenses"
Which by the way is complete BS....
The thing that makes TSP good, is the low expenses, and if they keep raising them, I will be bailing into cheap funds...

In terms of overall costs, the TSP used to be the cheapest. The funny thing is that the TSP is going the opposite direction of the standard places like Vanguard and Fidelity, which are lowering their rates while the TSP raises its rates. Most funds at present, for example are either cheaper or the same in Fidelity. Hopefully that will change in the future in regards to the TSP ratios.

You may be right! I will be heavy in C & S cause they are far and away the best two funds....
With the fees going up for some reason, they are making it easy to pull from in retirement. I still love the free IFTs though...
