Most of the popular strategies are moving to I.

So this is looking like a smart move with current market conditions, as opposed to a pre set seasonal strategy move? Thinking about making an IFT before noon.

I like the I Fund, but if you are fleeing an SPY drop I think the smarter move is to run to the F.

I is not going to ameliorate the drop as well as the F (until we're coming out of it); and it won't benefit from a Fed rate cut as much if that comes to pass. The only reason to run to the I fund now is if the market is so volatile you really give it a 50/50 shot of dropping big or jumping big (for something other than rate cuts) and you don't want to be out of the market, but you want to not lose as big if the bottom falls out of the stocks.

I agree with your last point. I just think that for the most point, anything good that can possibly happen has already been baked into the stock prices. And the trade war isn’t ending anytime soon, as per Trump’s statements yesterday. So the only big surprise news I can see coming is bad, not good.

Rising tide lifts all boats and it goes the other way around too. If the C and S funds start to sell off the I fund will follow. F fund chart looks very nice and ready to bust out. It just recently came down to test the bottom of a breakup candle and it never closed below it. Today F fund closed back above the most recent breakdown candle high and that's bullish AF. I'm currently 25% C,S,F and will move the other 25% to F if stocks start to roll over.

I agree TSP Jedi--I'm 50% in the F, 20% in the S (to catch the stock upsurge if rates cut), and 30% in the I (because I bought when it was lower, and it keeps me in stocks while ameliorating some U.S. volatility). The I Fund didn't sink as deep, and it recovered faster than the C and S for the May dip--but it's not what I want to bet the farm on right now.

I debated dumping my I Fund today, but I don't want to sell it on a down day, or buy more F when it shot up so much.

I went to F and G. That's my daily, but this market is so erratic and who knows what Tweet will show up tomorrow, it just makes sense.
