Price of C if selling a portion of my holding
Question: If I am 100% C and purchased at $63 and choose to IFT to 50%C and 50%G. The price of C is now $68. So I am now selling all of C and buying again at $68, Is this correct? It seems like I am losing money, especially if I don't want to buy at $68 and think it will drop in price in the short future. It would seem to me better to IFT to 100%G and then return to C when it drops a little. Any thoughts?

If you are 100% C right now and IFT to 50% C then you are selling half of your C shares at current market price.
It sounds like you are overcomplicating this.

Question: If I withdraw and I am 50G and 50C then the amount comes out equally from both funds, is this correct?

The old system was prorata (sp?) meaning your withdrawal is proportional though out all funds. I am not sure but I thought I heard they were going to change it so you could withdraw from a fund of your choice.
A quick google search: TSP is still prorata but now you can choose which account to withdraw from, traditional or Roth. The old system was prorata from both accounts at the same time. At least now you have a choice.

I am just an average Joe. I have no clue to what the market will do.
